Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 miles) off the south-east coast of the African continent. The native language spoken there is Creole.

Mauritius is a beautiful place to visit . It is a very pleasant place surrounded by lots of beaches. It was a very
delighted experience. I had lots of fun and enjoyed a lot. The places that I
visited are Gris Gris, Cure pipe, Caudan waterfront and many more……
1. GRIS GRIS:
It is said that, between the coral reef and the cliff,
there was a rock that looked like a nun praying. In another version of the
story, the rock is said to look like a witch casting a spell or doing
witchcraft, which is also known as "Gris-Gris" in Mauritius island.
2. CRYING ROCK:
- This is known as the CRYING ROCK located in Souillac, Mauritius.
- There is no coral reef near the crying rock, therefore when the waves break on the cliffs it seems like the rock weeps, hence the name.
3. GANGA TALAO:
This is the famous Sivan temple in Mauritius known as the GANGA TALAO. This is
a place where all the major puja's are done.
4. CROCODILE AND GIANT TORTOISES PARK:
- People are allowed to touch the tortoise and see them in a close view.
- This
is a rare sight.
5.TORTOISES
BREEDING PLACE:
Overall, Mauritius can be a rare and exciting experience.
It is worth it.
